Cynthia DeMartino, PhD

I’m the Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Cal Lu. My goal is to advance the use of techniques and technologies that promote student learning. I achieve this via research in the scholarship of teaching and learning, and by implementing teaching development workshops for Cal Lutheran faculty. My PhD is in Communication, where my research focused on creating and assessing behavior change campaigns. My current areas of research and faculty support include blended learning, study strategies for students, experiential learning, active learning, and metacognition. I’m happy to be a coach to you as you work toward your active learning goals.

CAL-ACT Catalysts connect with current CAL-ACT cohort members on  a regular basis to mentor, partner and coach.
